Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Land Art Generator Initiative design competition for a landmark public site within Masdar City.
Nearly 300 entries were received from 65 countries. In the next few months we’ll be sharing many of these incredible ideas with you on this site and in social media posts.
You’ll discover new geometries for dynamic solar canopies, self sustaining oases that make rain from the power of the sun, modular devices for turning the desert into forest over time, massive solar sculptures, and diaphanous solar membranes to help the city “breathe.”
A shortlist will be on exhibit at the 24th World Energy Congress from September 9–12 where the winners will be announced, after which we will be launching the LAGI 2019 portfolio site and the LAGI 2019 publication at the World Future Energy Summit in January 2020.
