Land Art Generator Solar Mural Artwork Program

As solar panels become customizable, public art is poised for a transformation. Land Art Generator Solar Mural artworks merge cultural expression with renewable energy, turning building facades into works of art that actively contribute to a clean energy future.

These murals celebrate local identity, create new opportunities for artists, and make neighborhoods more vibrant—while also reducing urban carbon emissions. In the sustainable cities of the near future, murals will be fabricated from photovoltaic panels as naturally as they are painted today.

Solar Mural artworks are suitable for municipal buildings, schools, libraries, transit facilities, parking structures, cultural institutions, data centers, and private developments seeking high-impact sustainability solutions.

We partner with communities and site owners to deliver Solar Mural projects from concept to completion, including:

  • Facilitating calls to local artists and muralists (RFP/RFQ)
  • Identifying local partners and stakeholders
  • Supporting community outreach and educational programming
  • Assisting with project budgeting and feasibility
  • Identifying ideal sites and solar orientation
  • Selecting appropriate photovoltaic technologies
  • Guiding the collaborative design process
  • Producing detailed fabrication drawings
  • Coordinating fabrication and installation

LAGI Solar Murals cladding the east, south, and west facing facades of large data centers can engage local artists and community, tell stories about pride of place, and function to offset some of the energy demand of these new infrastructures. Image shows the before and after of what data centers can look like when covered with art.
