Converts heat (temperature differences) directly into electrical energy, using a phenomenon called the “Seebeck effect”(or “thermoelectric effect”). This is where an electric current is created between two different metals that are at two different temperatures. The voltage generated can be as high as 41 microvolts per degree kelvin difference using the right combination of metals.
