About LAGI

The Land Art Generator Initiative provides a platform for artists, architects, landscape architects, and other creatives working with engineers and scientists to be an active part of climate solutions. LAGI brings forward human-centered solutions for sustainable energy infrastructures that enhance communities as works of art in public space. Land art generators educate the public, inspire the next generation, celebrate local culture, and contribute renewable electricity to the grid to meet the existing demand loads of neighborhoods and cities.

Job Description

As we continue to expand our impact around the world, the Land Art Generator Initiative is seeking three new Board members who have experience and passion in areas of business planning and implementation, philanthropy, intellectual property, law, non-profit governance, fundraising, organizational development, and finance especially within the disciplines of arts and culture, energy, and environmental protection.

 

The term of office is three years. Regular meetings of directors are held twice per year (virtually and/or in person).

 

All directors are expected to commit either their time or resources to the Land Art Generator Initiative. Board members are expected to make a personal financial contribution that is one of their top three annual giving priorities. If a financial contribution cannot be made, then the director is expected to give their time by helping LAGI programmatically further the organizational mission.

 

Board members may reside in any geographic location, both in the United States and around the world.

Members of the Board

 

  • Participate in local, regional, and international networking
  • Identify and help to pursue new opportunities for LAGI
  • Enhance LAGI’s public image
  • Work closely with the LAGI Founding Directors to meet the organization’s objectives
  • Help to secure adequate resources for the organization to fulfill its mission
  • Identify and cultivate future Board members
  • Advise on organizational structure and growth (formation of committees, etc.)
  • Be committed to intellectual pursuit and cultural enrichment
  • Be committed to solving issues related to the environment and anthropogenic climate change
  • Attend meetings as required
  •  Help to advance LAGI’s vision for the implementation of culturally-relevant and socially-just sustainable infrastructures in cities around the world
